You know SFi is good at poker, they play the cards close to the chest! They make money off the first 2 days of testing giving the remodded 2017 car to pay drivers and if they happen to be in a crash, not an issue because the 2018 beast is still sitting tight in the garage! =D>

Wow, that is some news if it is true. I wonder how come other media outlets are not reporting that though.

Other media aren't reporting this because it's not true (or backwards).

Force India only just finished the car in time for testing, they have the 2018 chassis on track but parts are playing catch-up so a lot of pieces on the car are from 2017.

OK, was going through the Ted's Notebook on youtube, and he said that although the chassis is new, The Rear Wing, The Front Wing and the Bodywork are all from last year, and will considerably change come Melbourne.

For sure the front and rear wings are from 2017, also barge boards and smaller pieces like turning vanes. Floor is very similar but I don't think it's actually a 2017 floor.

What is new on the car are the tub, sidepods, airbox, front and rear suspension, these parts are very unlikely to change again this year. Wings and small aero details can change, the rest is more or less set in stone even at this stage.

No Diageo/Johnnie Walker branding this year.
There is Kingfisher branding on car which is own by Diageo.
Kingfisher beer is part of united spirits Ltd. which mallya sold to Diageo.

I think people are in doubt cause last year both the brands were present on the car

Diageo partnership was for five years this is probably the last year of partnership.
I dont think they will extend that cause they are already sponsoring F1, maybe they will keep Kingfisher branding for small amount of money or they are asking for name change for title sponsorship.
Jhonny Walker Force Formula One Team, very long name.

you're right kingfisher is UB group's brand my mistake, also didn't diageo gave mallya 75mil to leave United spirits chairman's post? why did they filed court case?

United Breweries is majority owned by Vijay Mallaya & Heineken International, United Spirits majority stakeholder is Diageo and that's why he probably wanted the Johnnie Walker and Smirnoff brands out of his car!

If it's true, really unfortunate end to an inspiring mid-field team. A consortium cannot feed same level of passion & leadership support that Vijay has provided year over year. I see them fade away in next 2-3 years.
Really sad!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(
