Don't forget there is a second element lower down the rear wing (just outside of view on this picture), so a direct comparison is impossible. Today (2009 and later) this element is forbidden.

Interesting picture! The opposite of the RB spoon wing; maybe points to how the airflow is different over that era of car or could be for structural reasons.
