Indy Car is looking to continue building on its success. The racing product is pretty great

Me and my son have enjoyed Indycar this year. Some decent races and a decent product put out.

It's a peak apex national series and not a competitor for F1, and shoud not try to be one. It is great at what it does.

Roll on the next year :)

Loving the new blood in the cars which has given it a proper shot in the arm

An article that got posted today has several details on the hybrid system being adopted next season. For one thing, instead of batteries or flywheels, supercapacitors will be used.

Only that it was delayed a year due to supply chain issues which were predicted to reduce the grid size if implemented at the scheduled time next year.

In more news today, IndyCar announced an evolved design of their Aeroscreen head safety device.

What is currently 23.7kg will be expected to be lightened by 7.9 kg while being able to bear the same load. This will be achieved via a new manufacturing process for both the Halo and the Screen parts.

Outwardly the design will not look different but the weight savings will be valuable with the expected weight increase of the hybrid system.
