Thr team need to look on Bottas differently. They cannot place any trust in him when it comes to team work.
Bottas just let Max go. They were on the same tyres and i am sure he could have ad more pace . Daniel in a lesser car was able to keep Max behind for a long time.
Going forward Totto cannot entrust Bottas with the job of beaing rear gunner. All he does is open the door for rivals and defends hard against Lewis.
How are the engines looking for Lewis to the end of the season?

Isn’t it a little foul to fit a 5th engine, just to hinder Verstappen? Bit like intentionally breaking the seal on Massa’s gearbox with Ferrari.

And the sad past is, he just let Max breeze right past!

Well it wasn't a very good strategy to put Bottas behind all cars when he has even more rear-wing than Hamilton.

Didnt toto say he isn't sure they need to take another PU? he thinks they can make it to the end.

Hamilton needs to win two more races before they consider that. He must at least have 14 points more than Max?
Something that allows him to take the penalty and at least drive to 5th place or so to bring things even again.

Turkey... win (dificult against redbull)
USA .... win (could be better than redbull on tyres here, but dificult)
Mexico ... Redbull win, could take the penalty?
Brasil... So may pitstops and potential for rain and safety cars penalty can be taken too, easier to overtake..

Abu Dhabi ? Do not want to take a penalty here!

Only problem is that Brazil is a sprint weekend. I'd want to win both races that weekend if possible so I'd take the penalty beforehand.

Brazil is hard an tyres and their could be rain. Change engine. Do Q3. Do the qualifying race and collect three points. Start at the back on hards and go long?

USA is also another good race to pass on if the car is set up for it.

In all of these options Bottas is key here because he is the only one that can deny Max a win if Lewis ever takes an engine penalty.
