So the outcome was exactly what was to be expected and has been mentioned by several members here, yet it took this long. I really think that they should look in to the decision making process. I get that it's about a million dollar industy but it's also racing and a race weekend is short, can't have legthy discussions about pretty straight forward decisions.

I think both punishments are fair, on to the sprint now!

Wait how did Bottas not be DSQ’ed when both Mercs were running the same rear wing? Was it because RB filed in a protest towards car #44?

Seems like Mercedes has unravelled spectacularly! Driver mistakes, team execution mistakes and now factory production mistake (or intentional?).

Personally a bit pointless and don't think I'll bother, the championship is now done and over.

Onto 2022.

Now its crystal clear. Merc tried to blame on verstappen and fia looked all video evidences from cars , cctv etc to conclude no harm done as being shouted by merc team and fanboys. Then it was simple Game over. Trust in FIA restored.

Does that mean he stats at the back in the sprint race?

But as he has a penalty for the engine presumably he just won't even bother doing the sprint?

Nevertheless it was disgusting how Mercedes tried to blame it on Max. That's why it took so long, because they had to watch and analyze all the footage.

That is a blow to Lewis title chance but who knows how things will still go, all we need is a Max DNF and the game is back on. Lewis will be on fire for the rest of the season now with no more mr nice guy in wheel to wheel battles

What’s so surprising? Happened to other cars in recent past too.

It’s a shame this had to happen. Must be the bumpy track around Interlagos causing this. Not sure what RW Bottas is running today, but Max’s RW was just dancing when the DRS was open. Just hope we won’t see RW failures today and tomorrow

Because things never break on F1 cars do they 🙄. Wasn’t it Redbull strengthening their wings in America because they were cracked? I suspect had Mercedes known their was an issue with the DRS they would have fixed it, just like any other team would have done.
