A bonus to starting behind is that he has learned a lot about the cars and drivers he has to pass tomorrow. Unfortunately Alonso and Ricciardo will be looking for him now.
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

How come Sergio couldn't overtake that Ferrari??
Wonder if sprint races negate some of his tyre whispering skills??? Perez can be a bit like Bottas sometimes, absolutely rapid closing up on a car and clear air but hits that dirty air wall and then it's like he's being dragged back. He should have got it done, but I think it will be different in the race and tyre strat is bigger
Badger...my thoughts exactly. I thought Bot was actually driving the #11!

Amazing performance from Hamilton. He cut through the field like a hot knife through butter. A podium is possible tomorrow.

Only chance for Max to win tomorrow is by passing Bottas at the start. Otherwise Hamilton will breeze past him within 10 Laps, the speed difference is scary and really unexplicable.

Podium??

He is going to win with that pace. Insansity and add in engine advantage.

Seems like Ham and Merc must be substituting Nigel Tufnel for Toto this weekend. If nothing changes, Ham wins this thing tomorrow if he starts from the Austin pit lane...engine mode #11! That was embarrassing for 18 drivers...and an absolute nightmare for 2 Bulls.

I don't think it's inexplicable, well thy definitely can't blame the rear wing again anyway!

Salute to Bottas, Masterclass from Hamilton.

Maybe this isn’t so over after all?

It’s just incredibly annoying that when Merc actually have good pace, something happens, like a penalty or some other hick up. Destroys the championship fight. Would not be surprised if there will be a tangle and a DNF tomorrow just to add to the misery.

The pace was scary indeed. However, RedBull should be faster or better on tyres tomorrow as it’s going to be much warmer. At least that’s what Marko told right before the sprint race. They set the car up for the race.

Lewis was getting out of turn 2 and through turn 3 really well.

I had his onboard open on one screen, and the main feed on another!
