Seeing alonso on 3rd made me cry. Just one wish give him car that can stay in hunt. Just one more chance to fight and he will make it count.

Alonsoo!!! :D

So well deserved. Fernando was fast all weekend, looked good from the start. Was really crazy watching last 10+ laps with all the exploding hard tyres, tactical gamble paid off. Man I'm so happy to see him on the podium!

Agree, relief at the end of this rollercoaster was emotional

Can’t begin to tell you how pleased I am for Fernando.

Over the years, I’ve come to realise that he was just pure brilliance, that he mellowed once he realised Hamilton in 2007 wasn’t just any ordinary “rookie”, and how he dragged Ferrari closer to the title than any other time since 2007.

McLaren Honda was just unlucky - he could only trust Ron on the competitiveness of that PU, and he was right to let Lando and Carlos build their team back again whilst he explored himself out of F1.

I really hope Alpine deliver him a really competitive car next season- he would be such amazing value for the fans if he was mixing with Lewis, Max, and the other upcoming stars like Lando, George, Charles and Carlos.

Hope that Nails down P5 in the constructors. Should be tough for ATR to make up 15 points with one driver being a tsunami, basically only 1 driver that can score points.

And for the Alpine team They have been struggling for so long. Nice to see them getting it together. Fernando really feels this is his home. Good car. Good straight line speed and nicely balanced. Next year they could be right up there. Specially with the evolution of their engine with the split turbo... Hopefully if some new teams would like to buy their engine then.

Another masterclass from Alonso, passing Gasly at the outside to then secure the podium against much faster cars.

The usual job from Alonso :D

Best driver on the grid with a wonderful podium :D

Shame he doesn't have a quick enough car, I mean, to fight for some victories at least and play a role in championship.

For 2022 I really don't know what to expect, Alpine says they will need to wait until 2024 for podiums... but I don't really but it, you cannot predict like this especially with this 2022 revolution.

Maybe background of ALO will be a big help to setup the car and adapt to new rules and tyres, I hope [-o<

This year is really strange... very strong in Qatar, nowhere in Brazil a week ago.

I think tracks with power dependency dont suit them. They've admitted to lagging behind on the PU due to covid. Spa and Monza were the worst of the season. I think the last two tracks could be tricky as well.

The thing I liked the most was me following gap to Lewis since the start, and then seing Fernando reducing the gap for one lap. I was like - wow! Then after the race during the interview, Alonso himself mentioned that he wanted to give it a try to chase Lewis and then gave up. Too bad he did not have equal tyre combination, with m+h it would have been even more fun..
