RB fuel tank venting

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

RB fuel tank venting

Post

RB is stating that their fuel issue was a buildup of vacuum in the fuel tank/cell. Nothing stated about a vent system failure.

Why would the tank/cell not be vented to atmosphere with the appropriate check valves?

And why could this question not be asked in the RB18 thread?

If it is the tank, then you have to wonder why something as relatively simple and proven as a check valve would fail.
