Hope this is the right place for it.
Alpine has no floor stays. The got screwed over. Now they have to redesign the floor for the weight savings and run the stays so they can use ballast elsewhere for better cg and polar moment.

Merc and Ferrari used their political weight to get the FIA to even consider the stays.
LOL, You make him sound so bitter.... He just said "It's all part of the game, and we'll have to consider this concession for the next update."

These interior stays contribute some stiffness, but you could make an even lighter floor, if you can mount the stay to the outboard tip of the floor in front of the tire as Merc and Ferrari have done. It's the classic cantilevered beam and distributed load problem from uni.

The deflection at the outboard tip is related to how close you can place a strut to the outboard tip. Any reduction in deflection that you can gain from the strut placement, will allow you to make the floor thinner. It's much more efficient in terms of weight to add strength with a strut, than to make the floor thicker.

Usually it's pressure sensors embedded in the underside of the wing.

BTW, I'm having 2nd thought about there being a new wing. Starting to think it's just the change in the way it looks as the angle of attack increases.


I also looked at several pictures of the so called new floor, it doesn't look any different to me.

all the cars seemed to have been covered in a chaulk or baby powder. That left a residue. Any idea what that is ?

The document only mentions new floor fences - not a new floor.
"Bigger floor outer fence and realigned forward floor fences compared to its previous design"

but the new floor is the same as in Arabia, only 4 kg lighter
