G'day johnny, look fella, you should surely realize, you are taking liberties here...

1stly, the vid does not show any "Other racing series" depiction.

2ndly, a driving stunt - showing off a 'track day car' - cannot claim a legit "Lap Record".
"Well, we knocked the bastard off!"

Ed Hilary on being 1st to top Mt Everest,
(& 1st to do a surface traverse across Antarctica,
in good Kiwi style - riding a Massey Ferguson farm
tractor - with a few extemporised mod's to hack the task).

Why?
Kukułka zwyczajna, kukułka pospolita – nazwy ludowe: gżegżółka, zazula (Cuculus canorus) – gatunek średniego ptaka wędrownego z podrodziny kukułek (Cuculinae) w rodzinie kukułkowatych (Cuculidae). Jedyny w Europie Środkowej pasożyt lęgowy. Zamieszkuje strefę umiarkowaną.

Because bona fide lap records append to actual racing/grid qualifying speed, not stunts...

So what is the real lap record on the Nordschleife in your eyes?

Check the race records...

The 'contest' for 'production vehicle' quickest lap is a kind of stunt, too.

What is racing but a large stunt of people building death defying devices, those devil may care enough to drive them, and the marketing value of the billions of eyeballs watching it play out live?

Fastest time is only qualified with official (track recognized) accounting.

Perhaps they should rename the site www.f1technicalregulations.net 😁

The car looks the works, it sounds like a P51 mustang flyby and whether it is official or not, it is evidently fast.

Usually I find the results of these private supercar projects rather underwhelming, but this looks like a genuine solid effort.

This forum provides a number of different sections with headings relevant to the thread topic, yes?
So items of specific technical interest can be accommodated within proper context, & it seems
a modicum of mindful placement - would save the mod's from having to move the thread - likewise?

My apologies, it was a joke, don’t take it wrong. I have no issues discussing the legality of the record.

But it is a cool car yes?

Sure does look the part (& as you noted), esp' for an 'amateur' built track-day supercar...
