Unfortunately you only have to look in here after a rough weekend to see how many it works on. And worse a lot of those quick clickbait journos are here too and rip all the sky is falling nonsense out of the team threads, it's a nice spiral

What do you think, is it possible to make this chassis fast this season?

What is fast?
Realistically we can possibly edge the midfield slightly , and be P7/P8 consistently.

Can we beat Mercedes consistently?
No
Can we challange RB/Ferrari?
Keep dreaming.

IMO one of the biggest problems isn’t the lack of technical capability in the windtunnel, but it’s Location, you can’t simply pop into the windtunnel when you need to fly/drive to Germany to test any new part. That ads 2 days of transport to any part needing development compared to our rivals. Such a system may be fine for HAAS , but with our budget and tech. Ability it is not acceptable

Lando mentioned some updates coming for Silverstone, hopefully reducing drag is at the top of the list.
Where did he say it?
" have a few things in the pipeline for Silverstone and I cannot wait to get out there, in front of our home fans."

Yea I did read that.
So what are you telling me? Mclaren will cut a half a second a lap drag penalty with a dead cheap minor upgrade??

If we are going to be pedantic then ok yea there maybe a small update at Silverstone that may knock a tenth off the laptime. It’s nothing to get excited about

Dont ask me. Seidl's words answer your question. Its not only the cost-cap. He clearly says that they want to learn more about the car. Maybe they re not 100% sure what causes the drag.
I only wanted to say that we have to be exact when we quote another person. I thought it was obvious. Nothing more. If a person doesnt read the article thinks that the only reason for no major upgrades is the cost cap.

If they produce an upgrade it comes out of the cost cap if it works or not. Possibly not sure so do not want to commit to spend on it until they are
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

I think questions are already being asked about how RBR are managing their development rate. I personally feel they have gone for a strategy of developing this year's car a lot early in the season and building a championship lead - working so far - and then slow development in the latter half to focus on next year. Obviously any developments that would work on this year's car would get brought forward if they need them.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️
