Bentley Continental GT3

Post

After a costly development which yielded a victory at the 2020 Liqui-Moly 12 hours of Bathurst, the British manufacturer is pulling the plug on its racing activities. The brutal grunt of the 4.0 Litre V8 twin turbo engine will be missed by all racing fans.

That's sad, the Bentley Continental GT3 was a beast. Here is a quick overview of this legendary race car.
It featured a 4.0 litre, direct-injection twin-turbo V8 engine with a Cosworth engine management system. The Continental GT3 produced around 550 horsepower. It was equipped with a Ricardo six-speed sequential longitudinal gearbox with an Alcon racing clutch. Bentley had fitted this car with a carbon fibre prop shaft and it was based on a rear-wheel drivetrain. The Bentley Continental GT3 came with a double-wishbone type front and rear suspension with four-way adjustable racing dampers. It came with ventilated iron disc brakes with 6-piston callipers at the front and ventilated iron disc brakes with 4-piston callipers at the rear. In terms of electronics, this car was packed with a race specification traction control system and anti-lock braking system. The Bentley Continental GT3 weighed less than 1300 kg which gave this race car a phenomenal acceleration. (Specification Source: https://www.motowag.com/)
