Yes. They have a relation and experience with Honda,a good one, so if honda decide to return that is only a good news.
Yes, but it's a problem -- particularly for Honda -- if the Red Bull - Porsche deal is already inked. (Pending Red Bull - Porsche announcement at the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix?)

AlphaTauri, even rebadged as Honda Racing F1, is unlikely to be in position to win anything for quite a while [if ever^ ], unlike a Red Bull - Honda tie-up.

Also what happens to RBPT? If Porsche would use the RBPT ICE but supply a Porsche ERS, then what form would a renewed 2026 Red Bull - Honda deal take? Perhaps Honda would offer the same deal to pair a RBPT ICE with Honda ERS, but perhaps offer manufacturing capacity for whatever specialised manufacturing processes that RBPT don't have?

^ F1 is hard as Honda themselves, BMW, Toyota and Alpine and many others have found out!

It would be interesting to see how great AlphaTauro could become if there would be a higher budget for their aero team. They have proven to be very capable with a different powerunit in 2016 and 2018. But then, a design team split into Milton Keynes and Faenza, not sure if they would become a top team on their own.

How about Andretti Honda?

Andretti has already an agreement with Renault.

I still don’t believe any of this Porsche deal with Redbull, The Whole deal with Honda racing is not only for Formula 1 but all of their junior categories why would they want to scrap that relationship to bring in the new manufacture and start from scratch. Honda came from one of the worst pu to the best and We can all agree that it was a mistake for them to pull out. But to give Porsche I looked into our engine of Honda is just wrong.

Please Red Bull and honda Stay together and make us all happy.

The Porsche deal will be for rebranding or technical partnership on the RBPT power unit IMO, it will primarily be a RBPT power unit IMO. Red Bull want control of their own power unit in the future with their own power unit company. So if Porsche did withdraw, it will still be the same RBPT power unit.

They don't want to find the difficult situation again of Honda withdrawing and needing to desperately negotiate some way to avoid Renault power units (apparently an untenable option despite Viry's excellence! :wtf: ).

It does sound promising, though, that an announcement will be made for a return to Honda branding for 2023-2025.

Honda return to f1?they never left ,okay they wanted to but Rbr found a way to salvage the relationship by getting all pu manu to agree to an engine. Honda could not say oh we change our mind all the story we told you about electric car was a lie.the reason they wanted to leave was about money the cost we getting prohibitive.i guess next year they will make it right by putting there name.the future will budgets cap simpler tech which is really against the ethos of f1.the pinnacle of tech would be no more.

rumor mill - Honda was going to give Redbull the i.p. for their engine internals. Honda reconsidered pulling another Brawn GP, looked at the resurgence of F1, their new found success and pulled that back from Redbull. So he was upset maybe and from the looks at it wants to go with Porsche. If Honda comes back I say they either supply Scuderia Alpha Taura, but maybe buy it outright or become also title sponsor. It's probably why the whole Porsche/Audi buy in never mentions that team when it would have been the obvious partner to Redbull/Porsche. I suspect things will be clearer before the end of the year. Honda pull out from F1 may have been a big feint on their part from day 1.

I will only believe VW group gets involved in F1 when the cars turn up for the first race. We have seen it many times.

I just hope Red Bull and Honda don't end up alienated and neither in a position to get back together.

I was a big fan of Mclaren Honda in its original form but it just did not seem to work this last time although I really wanted it too.

Probably not a good time to have a second try until Mclaren are sorted in their own right and Honda is able to commit 100% long term.

Remember the original Mclaren Honda was only possible after a failed partnership with Spirit. I would not like to see Mclaren go the way of spirit.
