Looks very similar to Spain. Still porpoising in fast corners, not much on the straights. Ferrari and RB will turn it up tomorrow again and be gone.

Quite a few teams were porpoising in the fast corners. The Mercedes didn't look that bad honestly. But like you said, I expect Redbull/Ferrari to be a few tenths up the road tomorrow.

People still haven’t figured out that porpoising is something that is affecting all the cars. Not just merc. Never has been. Lord Max was heard complaining about bouncing today too, finally. Maybe he just slipped up. Oops. But its obvious You have to learn how to go fast with it. The hell with the drivers health. Right?

Alpine and mclaren are also looking the bounciest theyve been all season. And its supposed to be a smooth track…

Just because other teams can't figure out how to get performance with the side pods it does not mean the side pods are inherently bad. Sort of a fallacy there.

Here we are again with the same old discussion, aren't we? And no discussion and facts will change our opinions. But at the end of the day F1 Teams spent a lot of money in research. And ALL TEAMS researches said that these sidepods are not the way to go. Or these teams are just stupid because they just were not able to figure out how they work. But i highly doubt that all the other teams are either wrong or stupid. The more realistic option is another one...

I don't think Mercedes made a mistake, their problem is financial constraints.

Major update and 6tenths down in fp3 as we speak. While RBR becomes more and more dominant. (season's over btw, as ferrari cannot keep up with rbr development)

edit: 4tenths now, still way too much
edit 2: 2tenths for lewis, is there hope? Probably Verstappen still taking it easy

Max just increased that back to 3tenths. Whilst having 2 yellow sectors and purple middle.

Good progress. RUS says no bouncing, tenth and a half in race pace vs LEC and seemingly in the mix in quali pace too.

And it's back down to a single tenth with a purple in the last sector for Lewis.
