The new medium/high DF RW with the new rear end

The old medium/high DF RW with the old rear end

The main plane of the RW is more loaded at the center and less loaded at the extremities, with bigger cuts at the rear corners, like the BCN max-DF RW.
I guess the new straight cannon exit produces less downwash at the center than the older nose-down hot air tunnels, hence the spoon shaped new RW...

That wing looks very similar to the RB wing. It's tricky to notice because the livery distracts the eyes and the RB has a V groove in the center of the flap, but they are nearly the same wings if you look at it long enough:

A522 floor in Austria. Outboard strake looks very rough-and-ready and maybe a different profile. Can't confirm without more pics.

It looks like a different RW to me.
So it looks like a cousin of this family, although it shares some features with the BCN RW, not a brother that you can directly place between the med/high DF RW and the BCN RW :P

I guess the endplates are different. Looks like they're moving around where the vortices are being created. To reduce drag and increase DF.

The cuts are the same as the max DF RW. And the teardrop-shaped DRS pivot fairing

This Canada/Austria comparison shows the diffuser top corners changes & obviously the bodywork changes, but also some underbody tunnel changes...

The Alpine tunnels, like the Merc and others, have/had a double kick (the tunnels lowest point and the diffuser kick) but the "A522B" floor looks different now...

Alpine don't appear to have any plank action going on. All the titanium is at the front.

And that letterbox slot is not as simple as it looks. Underneath there is a kind of S-duct that links it to the radiator placed further back...
So why is it placed so far from the rad? maybe Alpine put it in the area where pressure is lowest, like a nose S-duct, (helped by all those winglets & vanes), to extract some of that air hot as efficiently as possible...
The optional shark gills are obviously for extreme cases and are probably more detrimental to the aero...

Very interesting. What makes you think that curve piece goes any further back than that bridge 1" or so before the rad? Looks like it's designed to create a seal on that bridge.

TD039. Mercedes, Ferrari, and RB all have titanium scattered all around the skid block surrounding the measurement holes. Alpine only have the titanium on the bib.
