Yep, almost fault free. Very impressive. I have been watching F1 with a passion for over a decade (in total) and I am still guessing at strategy and only after ingesting the race start to understand the choices made, still.

Who is Max and Checo's new Dutch teammate?

Rudy van Buren – known for being one of the fastest sim racers around – took on a new role in 2022 as
Red Bull's Simulator Test and Development Driver.

Rudy van Buren was confirmed as a Simulator Test and Development Driver for Red Bull during the summer,
though had been working with the team "unofficially" for some time, according to Max Verstappen.

"It has been a bit longer that I have been working there, only part of the contract was that it was not allowed to come out,"
the Dutchman explained.

"This year a new contract has come in, but my duties are car development and track support during race weekends.

"So after the season, that's testing new parts and philosophies. During the season, that's during race weekends, after free practice, trying different set-up changes to provide an extra tray of options for the track."

Van Buren admits that the highly advanced simulator at Red Bull's base in Milton Keynes cannot be compared to an at-home simulator.

"At Red Bull, it goes a step further. You can almost superimpose the data from real life and virtual in the sim," he said.

"It's always still a bit of fine-tuning with the grip levels, that always depends on the temperature and wind direction on the real circuit, but I'm sure: if I overlay the data on a printout, you can't tell what is real and what is the sim."

Horner says weight reductions coming for 2023
Horner also joked that it might just be better for the drivers if they don't have too many such dinners either. "They're a little bit like jockeys where they have to come in under a certain weight, and we saw that weight starting to creep up a little, through the steakhouses in Austin and the taquerias in Brazil. He'll be back on weight, I'm sure, by the time he gets back in the car in February next year."

Honda to post HONDA logo on Red Bull/AlphaTauri F1 machine in 2023
Honda announced that it will continue to post the HONDA logo on the F1 machines of Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Alpha Tauri even in the 2023 F1 World Championship.

Last year, Honda and the Red Bull Group announced that they would further strengthen their partnership with the aim of further developing motorsports. In addition to the HRC logo, the HONDA logo was newly posted on the machines of Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri in the F1 Japan GP and later races.

Honda announced the "2023 Honda Motor Sports Activity Plan" on Monday [see video above] , December 12th. In the 2023 F1 World Championship, it announced that it will supply F1 power units to Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri through HRC (Honda Racing) and will post the HONDA logo on the machines of both teams.

Does that mean the Honda logo will be at the front nose too? Last year it was HRC after Japan too. Would love to see the H on the front nose
