That's promising. They certainly wouldn't be saying that if he was struggling.
Of course not, they'd say "ooooffff, is it too late to bring Ricciardo back?" and destroy whatever little confidence he has. :(
They could have simply said "he's done a solid job and progressed well" but instead they've singled out adaptability and his ability to change driving styles to suit the car. This is everyone's biggest concern given Daniel wasn't able to get on top of this topic (Oscar's clearly quick going by his results in junior categories). The fact it comes from Tom Stallard is significant as well- he knows (in incredible detail) Daniel's struggles and can compare these directly with what Oscar is able to do. Obviously this is ridiculously early days but this article certainly reassures me that Oscar has potential in a McLaren.
Not sure whether he’s just telling the fans what he knows they want to hear, or if he’s just so happy Oscar seems to be able to do what Dan seemingly wasn’t, that he’s shouting it from the rooftops

If you think watching Daniel’s struggles has been hard, from a fans point of view, spare a thought for his pit crew who have had to go through the agony & disappointment with him, whilst watch the success the other side of the garage have had

Surprising if true… I don’t know if there is anyone out there for McLaren to get into the Team as Seidl’s replacement… And even though the results are not the ones we may have wanted, the Team does feel more solid since his arrival.

If this is true... for the sake of stability would they promote someone within the team, like Andrea Stella

It would be very strange for Seidl to turn down a Ferrari and go on a gamble with Audi.

Doesn’t make sense to me either!

On a positive note, Oscar is going well in testing:
McLaren 'very excited' as Oscar Piastri 'understands very clearly what the car needs'

Oscar Piastri: Adapting part of the game, but nothing 'completely alien' with MCL36

Imagine if Binatto, Seidl, Capito and FX all end up at AUDI next year

It seems that F1 needs a silly season anyway.
Driver's market was more or less settled during the summer, so, let's play the silly game with Team Principals...

Who do we get to replace Seidl?! A shame to see him go as think he was the perfect guy, but maybe contra to Zak’s thinking maybe Andreas thinks you need to be a works team to win

even if its interim I reckon thats the best choice..

McLaren are at a sensitive stage with all the new infrastructure and rebuilding within the team.. they need someone who is well versed with everything happening, I rather it be a seamless transition.

- Depends on when Andreas handed in notice
