Gee whizz I hope that isn’t true about Seidl. One of the teams biggest strengths right now and I backed him to see us through to competing on a tech level playing field once infrastructure completed.

Shame to see him go. But I get why he would go in with Audi.

Interesting to see who comes in.

If Jost returns to McLaren that would be good news, though losing Seidl a big blow

McLaren don’t need a new barista, they need a TP.

A team principal change does not happen so suddenly. It may appear sudden from outside but i guess the conversations must have been going on for quite a while. Mclaren definitely have someone lined up and we will most likely see an announcement soon.

Ricciardo leaving is understandable.

Seidl leaving too looks like people jumping ship.

He’s been given a works team role when Sauber become Audi.
The future of Mclaren has just gone a little bit dimmer

Audi?
He might've been one of the people pushing for the Audi takeover of Macca and with Audi buying Sauber...
All theory on my part.

Doubt it. But he is CEO not just TP, of Audi F1.
So clearly he got better / bigger offer and if budget is right - than Audi can be title contender.

They will have much bigger potential as works team than McLaren has. Not trying to say anything against McLaren, just that Audi on paper is bigger chance.
