Not been too clever latley, so please excuse me digging up this old stuff, been bored. I wonder if the solution to racing in the rain is connected. I know that the top layer is essential to racing tyres, but if it is possible, then its possible

Does not matter if it has been brought up before, it is a valid subject because it is part of the solution to races being cancelled or run in dubious conditions and of course for safer roads.
Civil engineering for water management has the ability to cater for heavy rain but doesnt seem to be adequately carried out at race tracks.
One could imagine collaboration between race tyre engineers and road engineers (re drainage and surface material and construction properties) would yield far superior tracks and as mentioned roads than the status quo.
One could also see the end of curbs at car tracks too...

I only understand some of this but fascinating nonetheless.
The natural resonance, is this something that is constant no matter how much energy you put into it , ie, the result is the same frequency?

With no wheels that I can see, I think it'd be a terrible car.

The problem with porous concrete is that it gets clogged up and its difficult to clean it out again. In principle its a good idea but its needs more refinement.
