I predict a 2-stop using S-H-H based on how good the C1 looked in the test and how small the gap in performance was between C2 and C1

Checo thinks Red Bull will be better here than last time.

Last time they scored 0 points. Watch the interview rather than reading the quotes and it's clear he was referring to the double dnf when talking about improvement relative to last year.. not saying their car will be more suited to Bahrain than the RB18 was

Finally, this weekend we will have a much better idea of:

About how much speed teams have been withholding.
Race pace.
Tires.
Midfield pecking order.
Sharp end pecking order.
Which team managers have been passing out the most Koolaid.
And of course...
If the Aston can take not only the top of the midfield, but in fact replace Merc as third best.

One intriguing aspect I enjoy about the first race weekend Q3 session is that teams typically hang it all out on the final Q3 laps because they really don’t know what speed they need to beat the other guys. Teams have an idea, but nobody really knows for sure.

Aston Martin will not even be close to Ferrari or RedBull.

Well, one can hope ofcourse.
Even while hope is broadly considered "delayed disappointment" 😎

But I'm really curious (I'd say most ppl outhere) as to how the pecking order will turn out.

At least it provided a week's worth of entertainment & excitement otherwise only story-making round would be 'Crown No.3 in Max's pocket'.

I think it's quite optimistic to think that they are in the level to fight on track VS RB

Well, Lance Stroll was in Barcelona with Dr Mir to get everything checked and spotted there at the airport
on his way to Oxford to see if he can keep up the racing distance in the simulator. Soon we will hear it from AM.
