It really looks like floor changes made it much much worse than it was last year.

Perez 2 races out of 4 was able to fend of Verstappen. Impressive. Yes, RB sunk verstappen with that silly pitstop timing, but this was down to Ver feeling the heat in those few laps before the stop.
Max had 3/4 of the race to pass him, Perez had his number.
Same way old guy hamilton had a number on your boy russell  , but im able to stomach that, all you're able to look at are the negatives.
You couldn't stomach Max getting Max'd yesterday though. 😁

Which makes Horner getting on the radio after the race to say that Checo just got lucky all the more terrible.
You're imagining things, he did pressure max, but still he got lucky RB were being buffoons on the pitwall.

Longest stetch of road between corners on the F1 calendar and basically nobody could overtake.

Can't follow through corners anymore either apparently.

It's strange

Yes, that was not a good advertisement for the changed floor. One could also say...once you change the rules in the way Merc wants it, it is never good for racing...

I think the pit call from RedBull was silly to stupid. Why are they making such an error? The AT was standing there for more than a lap already and you could see on the first picture it will not move. Why didn't they simply delay the stop for another lap, there was no danger to do so at all.
Don`t russel the hamster!

RB should have been watching the onboard of the AT closer seeing that the car was going to need lifted off the track and pre-empted the SC better. Minor slip up there.

I just hate russell playing kvyat every 3rd race, nothing to do with perez. difference.
Perez saying to max just now he got unlucky :)

Double-stacking would hurt Perez though. Perhaps sticking to the scheduled Verstappen pit was the lesser of two evils, and it is nice for RBR to have Perez win from time-to-time, no? :)

Fully agree. Pleased of the result. Great team points and both drivers drove a epic race.

It would have hurt checo a bit with the double stack, unless he dropped back half a second which would have worked. But can’t have it all ways.

All I was saying, is RB should have been sharper in predicting the SC coming out.

That's the way it goes when you're second on the road. Probably would get jumped by Lec, but that overtake was a formality.

It looked like the right time to pit. Worst case scenario is close to what happened, whereas if you stay out and the SC deploys when you are at the S/F line you can end up easily outside the top 10 as everyone behind you gets a free pit stop and then the chance to catch up before you pit.

Once the Red Bulls were in front, with Hulk holding up everyone in the second half of the field, it was never going to be exciting. However TBF to Red Bull I appreciate them letting Chico and Max slug it out, made it worth sticking around for.

Perez was going to pass Max on track, he got unlucky but the safety car bunched them up and only left a much slower Leclerc between them, Max just didn't have the pace to pass him. As for George, I have a feeling those few laps before that Lewis had on the hards helped him fire them up quicker once we got racing.

Such a boring race.

It was nice to see Perez keeping up being the best/fastest Redbul driver this season. I was expecting him to have tailed off by now.

Was it not for the Aus issues he would be leading the championship.

Don’t worry, that will come once the classic tracks come around, and he will be left in the distance.

Max just looks very bored, and unmotivated right now. Throw in lack of setup time, which I think Max needs to really dial it in for him.

Monaco is a classic circuit which Perez is also good at. It's the low speed traction zones you see. :)

Though to be fair, Perez did crash in Monaco qualifying in 2022 (or was it 2021, I don't remember). :(

However Perez still took pole (I don't remember?) and then won the race anyway! :D

He can't be that bored and unmotivated. Surely Verstappen much prefers going for a third driver's title than scrapping in a midfield car?!

It was 2022. Perez took P3, Leclerc was P1 and Sainz was P2. Then the magic happened :D
