Yeah, same as me Wouter if I turn adblock off.

Sometimes its a small banner, sometimes its a large square advert.

Re: Adverts

Yes I just got a full page advert on my phone that pops up when I try to navigate around the site that I had to tap close to get through. Imo this level of advert is not acceptable

It is being worked on and feedback is more than welcome.
I get both of the things mentioned just above, full screen ads or virtually no ads, depending on the type of post.

On iPhone/safari I’m getting an ad before the thread title, another in line after the thread title and a smaller fixed ad at the bottom of the screen. Not unusable but not convenient

Much better on desktop, where the ads only appear around the edges (but still left, right AND low).

Re: Adverts

The formatting of the site is all messed up and the ads appear with a delay of several seconds (usually 5s +)

Image

the upper box/container for the ads has a minimum height of 250 pixels, so even if a slim one is being shown there's just a lot of empty white space around it (here the actual ad banner is 90 px high)

Image

and the massive white space is still being shown with ad blockers on.

It alternates between ads and sometimes just spams three of them:

It's not any better on mobile

I’m getting the same as the above.

It’s absolutely brutal trying to browse on a mobile device.

There’s probably more ad space than content

Here we go again.
This is all I can see on my screen on my laptop. Also at "active topic", "unread posts", etc.
Every few seconds a new ad appears.

Related to this, I have a couple of times lately had an 'accept our conditions' type approval screen which did not have a one-shot reject all option and the 'box-by-box' tick chart was not very clear either.
I did seriously consider not accepting (the modified) item, and TBH, if it was any site except this one, I probably would not have.
