I’ll concede that George was alongside max a little but equally Lewis was well ahead of George and thus George could’ve backed out. That’s what makes it a racing incident at worse for me. Certainly not totally Lewis’ fault.
This year George is showing why he got the nickname Mr Saturday, because he sure shows to be lacking when it comes to wheel to wheel racing.
Oh no, he’s like a lion when it comes to racing his teammate…

Here is a video with first the fullspeed of the incident from the helicopter angle, and then the same video at 0.25x speed without audio

OK so according to Merc they did actually talk about the tyre offset and letting Lewis use the advantage of the soft tyres, but they still ended up fighting into T1.

Why.

Because George is not good at wheel to wheel racing, and only cares about beating Lewis!

Hamilton is making too many mistakes in wheel to wheel combat lately. Today with Russell, Spa with Perez and Piastri Monza.

They were not fighting into turn 1, Lewis appeared out of nowhere and misjudged his turn in.

Difficult to say spa was a mistake from Lewis

Lewis was half a car alongside George, how is that 'out of nowhere'

Read the comment above mine about what the team said, and tell me George didn't know what the plan was. Or, watch the video posted and tell me george didn't know Lewis was there' as he jinked over at him on the strait well before the breaking zone.

If George was further alongside Max heading into Turn 1....what would Lewis of done though? His only option was to use the grip and the later braking on the soft to try outbrake them both...

Even then, 3 cars were never making it round turn 1.

Lewis takes responsibility for the crash, good on him. It always surprises me when fans of drivers remain in a defensive mode when the driver himself has already admitted complete fault and moved on. All the arguments seem to be derived from some sort of "part the seas for Lewis" mentality that is just nonsense. You don't turn in on your teammate when he has no space inside and is already committed to the brakes. It's very similar to the Alonso incident from Spa 2022.

Reminds me a bit of Spa last year when Lewis was on the outside with Alonso on the inside, he just doesn't quite leave enough margin. However Lewis already said it was 100% his fault on social media and we move on.

In French, but it states that many drivers felt unwell after crossing the finish line. Too hot, too much dust, not enough water

Perez...

Max claims he was pushed by the mclarens.
As if he would say anything different

The guy was comfortable from start to finish.
If max was cruising then how do you explain perez being 2 sec off his pace in clear air?
