People often forget he is Swiss. And Audi will be based just outside Zurich
Swiss born yes. But to Italian parents. Thus Italian.

100% he'll rejoin McLaren, I predict (even though his cars were stinkers, MP4 29 all the way until MCL33 even with the Renault engine).

I disagree, think that’s ships sailed especially as they now have the 3 TD heads in Prodromou, Sanchez and Marshall. Where would he fit in?

I can see him going to Alpine who have an opening for top brass or Williams as they also are looking to strengthen

What about under Vowls at Williams? They get engines from Merc, but it still needs someone to optimise? He has the experience from both sides
How can a supplied power unite be optimized other than the possibility of improving on the installation.
Someone has to handle things. How much leeway is probably small, but all companies have an 'expert' in charge of goods-inward to deal with suppliers, from a corner shop on up

Probably irrelevant anyway as if Williams wanted one they would be looking or already have one
Think the term is a buyer or purchaser. Someone skilled in negotiations.

Two months ago too but it seems no one reported it here yet.
