This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Now that the silly season seems to have started, Lobato says the following: "At the moment Alonso is absolutely committed to Aston Martin. He thinks in green."
Racing in 2025 in green is practically confirmed according to Alonso himself. 2026 not yet, although imo it is likely.
He will be in a very good position for very good money for 2025. No very good driver is available, also not the young guns. Only SAI is without a contract, but maybe not the guy the team wants (neither star factor nor the young gun factor).
Why would AMR swap Alonso for Sainz if alonso still wants to stay at AMR?
I think he meant Alonso moving out on his own. It's not likely to happen unless AM mess up miserably. You could also argue that AM has a similar chance, if not better of nailing it next regs compared to Merc. Personally, at the moment I have more trust in AM's technical structure than Merc, and Lewis' departure contributes to that.

You might be onto something. Lobato has just said that he's sure Alonso will be more expensive for Lawrence Stroll from now on.
No doubt Alonso's agent and/or Briatore will talk to Mercedes, because after all Fernando is a driver and wants the best possible car for the future so that means he has to check all options available even if he most likely stays

Is Lance modelling his look on Lou Ferrigno‘s Hulk or Odd Bod from Carry on Screaming?
This disheveled driver look seems to be getting worse every year and, at this point, the drivers are starting to look like extras from Zoolander.
Alonso will see what Mercedes and Aston will be like in 2024, and will decide from there. The important point, however, is another: what is Alonso's objective? 2025 or 2026? Because if hypothetically speaking Mercedes 2024 is superior to Aston and therefore potentially also in 2025, will it also be superior in 2026 with the entry of Honda?
