What RB20 and MCL38 gain through S1, the SF24 could claw it back through T9,T11,T13-14 in S2.
I think we can fairly confidently say that these three teams are the ones at the sharp end this year.

Anything less than Max winning 20s ahead in dry or 30s in wet (from a non-RB car, whether 2nd or 3rd) will be shocking this weekend. Checo needs to deliver a 1-2, RBs are perfect for Suzuka and Spa.

It would be an underperformance from Ferrari to not be within 10s at the finish, the SF24 is elite.

I wouldn’t assume being 10 seconds behind at the end means a team really is that close. RB will do what Merc did…manage the gap. The days of teams showing off their speed are over. They will simply do what’s necessary to win. The RB looks unbelievable. Eye popping. Very impressive.

The weather reports too seem to be improving over the weekend. Not looking like any major rain during quali or the race

Perez has a new engine and is on his 2nd or even 3rd gearbox. Max also has unsealed 2 engines.

Hamilton, Gasly and Tsunoda on 2 as well.

2 of 4 Hondas (Max engine 1 is fine still afaik) are on 2nd engine already huh?
