Cost Reduction

Post

I know it has been mentioned before but I could not find a dedicated forum.

Seems like bad news to me. I don't like the idea of capping the number of people in such a way. It does seem like the major people to loose out will be engineers!

I know some people will be lost from the pit stop next year but howw much does 45 people limit the team? I expect they take quite a few more than that now? Will we see an increase in pit stop times?

To my mind, this will be just as difficult to police as the original budget-cap, when in this brave new world, you don't have to be near any pit or other facility to make a contribution.

So how is it now that they can now limit spending to 100M euros total in 2010 but they could not do so under Max's plan?
And how is it all of a sudden they can cut down to 350 factory personal when that was utterly impossible a couple months ago. Amazing to me how many bought the FOTA propaganda & BS.

This new "cost cutting" plan is no different than mad Max's plan in terms of financial levels but we the fans get absolutely no technical innovation out of the deal. Now the financial big guns will have nobody looking over their shoulders, thus allowing them to circumvent anyrules they deem not applicable to them. The DNA of F1 is riddled with cancer, and that cancer is FOTA, and we all know who runs that.
