a small wing
Apparently it is a more loaded design. But it certainly looks smaller than the Red Bull and the Aston Martin. It possibly suggests that the team are confident in high levels of downforce from this package.

For me the best part of the updates is that we protect the tyres in the race, which was a huge deficit last year after the updates that were very good.
I think it's going to be an EBAY sponsorship not a MASTERCARD one, like it was speculated.
The tyres did look good, but they weren't challenged that hard in the race. An important sign is the heat we were getting into the softs in Qualifying, which suggests there is still work to be done.
The art of the game, that is in the race, is knowing how hard to push the tyres. The softs in everyone's hands were prone to going off the temperature cliff immediately, yet the mediums on both McLarens were fine. In the race even Oscar went longer than Max and was doing similar lap times. The Pirelli game is extremely variable which is why we can't assume anything out of Imola even though it looks very promising. Has anyone got a read on the Imola track surface?

If you consider the high temperatures of the track and on the air I think they were worked very hard.

The car seems fast from the first view and from what I heard we brought something more here.

It's how we were relative to other teams. We struggled more on the tyre that had a lower temp window and did better on the tyre with the higher temp window. That is what may indicate something about the energy we are putting into our tyres.

It could be down to aero and hiw we cool the tyres, but it isn't a forgone conclusion that it is a tangible benefit, all we know is that the team were working on it.

Just a rear wing for this circuit. It's not doing much radically different.

Mercedes look surprisingly quick. Ferrari are quick as expected due to the upgrade. Both Mclaren and Red Bull are a questionmark at the moment.

Problem for Norris? He said his car cut out and we haven’t seen him for awhile?

It's FP1, Mercedes has led FP sessions before only to be nowhere when it matters. Hard to make out a pecking order from this session. Too many outliers.

scrappy session -- very hard to judge. looks like lots to gain from setup. I suspect Max will not go off in S2 in 3 consecutive fast laps like he did in FP1. We were also very focused on setup. On the other hand, Piastri looked quick out of the box

Did piastri make a mistake on his fastest soft lap? Pretty sure it wasn’t a green sector

yes dipped right front into the gravel. probably lost 3tenth

Lando was also yellow in S1 on his only lap on new softs (without the rakes)
