Alpine’s lawyers are likely still in hiding after their last drubbing at the CRB.

Yes they are just whisperings, but with Flavio in that era of Schumacher move by snatching him from under Jordan apparent contract, then a possibility in how business is done for these things.

I'm looking forward to see Doohan (his father one of the best racers ever to watch) in the seat and apparently good performances in testing. But none of us can judge his real world performances in F1 race situation yet. Often a driver can be extremely high performing in development role but fail in the demands of producing that cutting edge against grid opposition. No one seems to give much/any leeway for any learning time in public opinion land either, decent characters get crucified very quickly.
Colapinto has a delivery, a swaagger and application in similar to MV, FA & Senna about him, some teams don't want to miss out on snaffling a driver like that and take the risk of trying it to see. Williams one of them as they hold contract, but didn't evaluate before chasing Sainz. It would be equally wrong not to see Colapinto on the grid next year as it would to see Doohan bumped.

The silly season is getting even sillier!

Danny Ric to Cadillac seems like journalistic wishful thinking to me! Not that I wouldn’t love to see him back on the grid, it just seems very unlikely IMO.

wtf is this article about?

Barichello saying that he would like to come out of retirement and be Alonso's teammate? April's fools day?

It’ss collection of multiple silly stories in one article. They aren’t the only site writing about it tho.

Even Forbes are getting in on the action.

Flavio vs Marko

1 - 1

(Daniel Riccardo, Esteban Ocon) I see Marko getting ahead with the Perez

Wonder who will out do the other through 2025

Flavio appointment as advisor is certainly to make things jump, colloquially speaking "to put a rocket up their backside " else there'd be no point.

Part of the team that brought Schumacher (to this team, in fact) from under Eddie Jordan"s nose too :D

Already set out the stall in getting early look at Doohan here this weekend. Hopefully to go favourably, but there's background, surely, to compress evaluation and further prospects.

The entire saga of Michael Schumacher being snatched by Benetton in 1991 was down to a single word in a letter signed by Eddie Jordan and Schumacher.
The document included a sentence that by a certain date, Schumacher and Jordan Grand Prix would sign "a contract".
Although the rest of the letter referred to a drivers contract for 1992 and beyond, this phrase sank Jordan's attempt to hold Schumacher to his verbal agreement. Schumacher's lawyers argued that "a contract" could mean anything, like Schumacher being hired to cut the lawn, and could not be construed as a drivers contract. The High Court in London agreed. If the letter had said "the contract", it is likely that the verdict would have gone the other way, and Schumacher would have had to drive for Jordan in 1992.
Willy Weber said later that the letter mistake was crucial, since they already knew that Jordan would have Yamaha engines for 1992, which were known to be uncompetitive. Bernie Ecclestone had arranged the Yamaha deal for Jordan because they owed millions to Cosworth for 1991 engine supply, and Cosworth were not going to supply them in 1992.
Schumacher thus ended up with a much more competitive team in 1992, while Jordan struggled with the Yamaha engines.

Formu1a Uno reports that Lawson will partner Verstappen next season
Red Bull is negotiating the exit of Perez, who can count on a very significant penalty. Monday shareholder meeting. The other choices have already been made: Lawson would be Verstappen's teammate, Hadjar in Racing Bulls

I think it is a mistake for Lawson to accept that drive, just as Albon did.

Who could refuse of that? It's all in or go home. I think Lawson is the wrong guy, it should be Tsunoda, the more experienced and skilled.

Indeed, allow lawson one more year of relative quiet, putting rookies on the big stage too soon has proven disastrous for RB (and was something they did with neither Max nor Vettel). And it gives a good opportunity to really put Tsunoda to the test after plenty of VCARB time, or shed him after a year if he underperforms.

Not the right choice but they don't want the Honda driver. I bet he's out of a seat after next year.
Honda!
