Red bull seem to have the edge here in the cooler temperatures.
I feel Norris would have poled, but ifs and buts, he just doesn't get it right when it matters.
Piastri isn't the perfect qualifier and that last lap was not fully committed.
Max had it hooked up on both laps, even with more fuel on the first go.
He has the championship in his grasp now. Redbull just needs to make the car work in warmer temperatures.
For Sure!!

What a super lap from Super Max. RB21 also looked solid, at least on one lap pace.

Marko just said that McLaren must have bluffed in FP3. The only explanation for this result is that they were on super low fuel already.

If after today and Suzuka, any team aspiring to win the championship doesn't get Max, they aren't serious.

The guy is simply the best to get the very last of the pace from the car.

You would be lucky to have his service. Red Bull better develop the car to give him a fair fight.

Maxterclass once again.

I was wondering about this too. I think they purposely ran hot to give their drivers a few more "real" practice qualy Sims to enable them to extract the true car performance after the Suzuka debacle.

Brilliant from Max. He is amazing. I'm more impressed with him every race. Just incredible.
I don't take Norris seriously anymore. He can't take the pressure and can't get out of his own head. Not championship material, I'm afraid...
Ham is lost at sea while Chuck is living in denial believing the Ferrari has potential. Lol.
Mercedes could be right there, but they don't have Max, and that's the difference. Still impressed with Russel. He is doing really well. Kimi holding his own and adapting better than Lewis at Ferrari. Gotta hand it to the kid. Well done.
Carlos also adapting well to the Williams. Again, better than Lewis. Really like the direction Williams is headed.
Finally, when is it no longer a viable excuse to say, "I'm still adapting to the team and the car." for constantly being behind one's team mate? Race 10? 15? 20? Next year? Maybe the end of next year when the contract runs out?

Please stop listening to what Marko says. The guy probably sets out after sessions to go find journalists to give his hot takes to.

But he's right. How do you go from setting a 27,4 in FP3 to a 27,4 in Quali? Temps were much lower and presumably you leave a bit on the table in practice. It's very hard to explain.
