Yep I think on the replay I think Max needs to hand that back Oscar was slightly ahead. We shall see though

Idiotic penalty. Give place back or take a harsher penalty should be the deal.

So Max if he does this tactics he gets blamed and now when he is on the receiving end he gets penalized, crazy.

Max would complain so much if he had to race himself.

If there was grass / gravel / a wall there, he would have had to concede the position in the braking zone, well before the corner.

That front wing DRS on the McLaren is pretty obvious on the onboards. This flap moves a lot downwards and aligns with the other plane.
Is this TD against flexi wings already in effect?

Same Max tactic. Miss the corner and gain
Yep, he would have been behind Russel if he tucked in to make the corner. So it was a calculated move.

What I must say is RB21 is the 4th fastest car and 1 second faster than the Mercedes on the soft tyre.

Antoneli has Lewis' ticket. Lewis is going nowhere higher than 7th. Let's see what Charles can do.
For Sure!!

Now watch McLaren let Piastri get stuck behind Norris in a few laps, ruin his tyres and Max win the race.

Was really close, and Oscar barely kept it on himself. Max did the right thing to stay where he was, as a few more cm of pushing off by Oscar, and both would have been off-track certainly negating the penalty. Same if Oscar would brake a bit earlier. In the end I guess Oscar did just the right thing to force the penalty, but it was not as cut and dry of a "max obviously had to back out" situation as some here like to pretend.

Easily controlled win in the end for Oscar. Continues to impress. Leclerc DOTD. Quite a dull race though again.

RB21 fastest car today. Max lost the race on the launch basically. Ferrari has good race pace which is encouraging.
Mercedes looking very shaky for the development race with their deg.

Yeah big disagree there. Oscar had the line and if there was anything outside the track Max has to concede way earlier. It wasn’t close.

Oscar again does decisive things when it matters. Flawless start, well executed standard move in T1. Good overtake on Hamilton to not lose too much time also.

As great as Max is at driving a car really fast, I knew his main weakness would be exposed this year with a tight field in wheel to wheel situations. He was lucky not to lose more through the penalty as the others were a bit too far away, but this could easily have dropped him further back. His problem is that he genuinly does not seem to know what he does wrong in these situations. Unless someone teaches him, he will trip over himself again.
