There can be changes to the tunnels which will not be disclosed here. The team and Max have stressed that they need to improve the balance and increase the operating window, so I think the new floor is intended to have the biggest impact on that.

It doesn't make sense to introduce a "new floor" as a physical component, including a spare, to then introduce another new floor with another set of spares 2 weeks later. Definitely not in a budget cap era.

Also, considering that they were unable to give these changes to Tsunoda, then perhaps the changes are not so minor.

Floor fences and floor edge wing are two parts that would be easily modularly brought, no?

RB have been fairly detailed with their upgrades declaration so I don't think there's much more here tbh. Feel like they might be testing this floor and have a new one at Imola with these parts if it works.

Idk, looking at the new floor edge it looks like a fairly different design. I've seen much more discrete "updates" to that part of the car through the years. Also we have no idea what is different underneath. This to me is consistent with what had been described as a "two tenth" upgrade. I was never expecting a completely redesigned floor this late in the regs, just tinkering with the most important bits.

Fabrega has made a mistake. The comparison photo he's used on the bottom is of the launch spec rb21, not the specification that was brought later in testing and used in every race since

Edit: seems red bull actually reverted to the launch spec floor for the entire Saudi Arabia GP event.. so weird.

If there were changes to the tunnels, they would have been declared, as they usually are, so the changes are what are listed. Not that they cannot make a positive impact though. We'll see in Imola what is the rest of the package, but I would have liked to see here the supposed mechanical bits to help tyre wear.

Yea I think so. They used the Friday testing floor (new spec) from rounds 1-4 and after Bahrain they had all those meetings, Marko comes out and says they won't trust simulations as much and at Saudi they run with the launch spec and ditch the new spec. Maybe they found it didn't deliver what was expected
