You have to wonder how the hell they developed this Miami-Imola package....black magic ?

The first day in Bahrain was the only day that they were happy with the car, and that was the only day that Max had the launch spec floor. :?

Anyway, I watched Max's 2 runs so far in FP1. Nothing terrible in them but too soon to tell.
It doesn't turn.

And Saudi Race where Red Bull seemed really competitive in long run pace.

How much has Verstappen complained so far? That is the best barometer imo. If he starts swearing they're in the deep end.

This session didn't make me say "wow", but let's see how it proceeds.

I would say much better, but the picture is not clear, we may eventually be end up as being 4th force anyway. Difficult to judge in Friday sprint weekend.

Lower engine mode for Max compared to Oscar. There’s at least 2 tenths lost on straights.

Not sure that's engine mode in the final run. McLaren are running less wing and have new engines.

I am just assuming based on past performances. McLaren aren’t exactly efficient on a straight line. If it doesn’t change for sprint quali then we can take that as a data point for the rest of the weekend.

Neither are RB at this point. Their DRS advantage is pretty much gone and RB are actually quite draggy without it, and on this track DRS comes late on the straights.
