Yes, recent Ferraris have always been iffy in the wet, but this was another level of bad.

Ride height (and the impact on downforce) is really critical in wet conditions.

If a given team was running a couple mm higher than most others, we’d expect that team to really struggle in the wet relative to the majority of the other teams running lower.

This uniquely bad wet weather sprint performance very much aligns with the purported issues regarding ride height, IMO.
Check SPA 2021 qualifying :D

How do they overheat the tyres so quickly compared to everyone else?
I am suspecting the rear diff more and more. Not that I am a race drivetrain expert.
For Sure!!

Softs was the right call under those conditions.
I'm always surprised how afraid of soft rubber teams are, it's 5 laps, the track is partially wet... somehow they are still afraid that they'll have a huge performance dropoff?

Agreed. I was screaming at them to go a lap earlier (same as Tsunoda) and the softs still would have been fine. If not for the safety car, and especially if they’d switched to slicks a lap earlier, a fight for the win on warmer tyres could have been on the card. It would have been the result of a dice roll - not car performance - but certainly 2nd vs Lando was on.

I suspect we’ll need more odd circumstances to do much in the real race/quali.

Leclerc seems somewhat out of sorts.
Hamilton also not in great shape.

Q2 could be dicey.

Lewis does his best lap probably of the weekend on used softs at the start of Q2.

They then put on new softs and no grip. I don’t understand this car
