Lando got his lap compromised by Hadjar.
Oscar had his lap compromised by three cars in the last sector though to be fair.

Norris number 2 driver confirmed for me.

Lando is breaking under pressure for sure... Oscar is the clear No.1 driver at the moment... I don't follow them all the time so I am asking out of curiosity, does he have a contract for 2026?

Good job Oscar! Should be a P1-2! Lando doesn't need cuddling, he needs a smack upside his head. Let's see what he can do tomorrow from P4.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Lando and Max scruffy. Oscar does just enough. Performing so well.
No, Max got the laptime out of his car. Lando couldn't do it in either of his 2 tries in Q3. Just a mess. Never in a million years would I predict Lando to be manhandled like this by Oscar after the performances he had last year.
Max went yellow yellow in think, so probably would need to be classed as scruffy.

Lando isn't performing though. But, he hasn't become bad and Oscar has improved but hadn't suddenly become prime Senna.

Both have long contracts.

That was nothing compared than what Kimi did in Spa many many years ago…

For me, this is Norris' worst season since 2019.
He reminds me a bit of Rubens Barrichello in 2009 at Brawn GP. When he finally had a real chance to win the championship, he leave much to be desired and lost to his teammate.

Oscar had cars off the racing line, Lando had dust/smoke over the racing line and it was unclear if there was a crash. He probably didn't have a pole in him regardless but we have to be honest, he was unlucky with that dust/debris on track.

Ofcourse. There is only one Kimi Raikonnen.

Max matched his previous S2 so I wouldn't call it scruffy... Just didn't improve, could be the limit of that car in S2.

Apparently Lando had leg padding loose in the cockpit as well.

Without antagonising any fans of Lando - I’m making a case for Oscar as 2025 WDC.
But let’s see, long way to go.
At some point in time, Mclaren will have to prioritise Oscar for the WDC.
Until that time comes, it is in Mclaren's interest to run both Lando and Oscar as equals.

Max is a machine. He probably maximized it both times.

Let's not kid ourselves. This Lando Norris has nothing to do with that fantastic Lando Norris driver from the years 2019 to 2023. It's clear he has become worse. I don't know what's bothering him and he can't perform but it's infuriating to know he has the capabilities to be the fastest driver of this generation but is unable to.

Congratulations to Oscar Piastri for showing such a championship material performance once again. The cars are pretty much equal in one lap pace and Oscar is the driver that is making the difference and not the car.

Yeah McLaren always had an advantage in S2 and S3 while Red Bull had in S1.
Call a spade, a spade.

Outright speed is Lando's biggest weapon against Oscar but he's failing to make it count because he's falling under pressure, he's somehow broken. Oscar has a serious shot at the title.

The more Lando lies in this limbo and lets Oscar beat him, the harder will be for him to get out of it.
