Difficulty is why should norris give it back? Without a 'let him pass' instruction norris will still get oscar.
We basically want oscar to give in to his likely fare but nicely rather than letting max have it easy by holding lando for 8 laps or so.
Because it would maximize potential of maximum points for the team. Otherwise why would Piastri accept it?

I agree but that's the team v individual argument.
If lando is let by but doesn't get max then lando will argue that he would got oscar anyway.

Now we are waiting for the first time we get PIA-NOR crash. It's only a matter of time if they can't make a swap in this type of situation.

For --- sake, McLaren bottling the strategy. If they weren't going to swap the cars then why even pit Norris

Just let them race.

The micromanaging makes F1 so stuffy.

Lando is struggling to get by Oscar on old tires. Does anyone think he has a chance against Max? Has Lando shown any ability yo out race Max without a large tire delta?

Great move by the ‘bottler’ as some refer to him as

I guess we need to accept the fact that the team does not intend to work together to maximize team results, both camps are fully engaged in fighting each other. This was 100% obvious swap them to try for P1 and they couldn't pull the trigger.

I am fully expecting a crash between them in future races.

Good job by Norris.

It's obvious the team doesn't feel confident they can orchestrate these type of swaps.

They should have swapped them immediately. Norris had the tyres to get Max. Now its too late.

When has Lando shown the ability to take it to Max on equal tires?
