From my experience, every software will have options on how to import the files.
This can be a bit obfuscated / confusing, though.
The ultimate test you can do is use MFlow.
I know that not every team uses it. And that it is perfectly fine.
Just consider that is is basically just an executable to have on your PC (yes, Windows may at random, without warning, just delete it...).
But if you work with the supplied stl files, together with MFlow, you are very much doing what will be the official simulation. So, just to at least visually understand, if you are doing everything correctly, I advise to load the car once into MFlow to just have a look at it.
Yes. I understood. I have installed MFlow and will run Simulations as soon as my design is ready.
Thank You!

Hi guys, I can’t find it anywhere here on the forum neither in the regs. What minimal radius for EC have we agreed to use? I made mine with 50mm to be on the safe side but I want to push my performance a little bit more

No limits for Race 02 (except, as usual, for 10mm rule), the application of the 1R rule will start from Race 03.
In my opinion R = 50 mm would be a good choice, maybe 25 mm too.

Well if that doesn’t highlight how well JJR is utilising in wash at the rear, nothing will

Yepp, his rear wing and diffuser seem to be really happy about this.

I hope mine can be too. I was cursed with a massive separation bubble at the rear of the sidepod which ultimately limited the inwash I was creating. I’m hopeful that I can find some gains by fixing that among some other things for Monaco, I’m sure it won’t take long for others to catch up now.

I would like to rise two topics:

1. Regarding the Scrutineering report, one of the warning I had is 2.5
2.5 Only the parts specified in rule 2.1 and the text file in rule 2.4 should be included. No other guide or provided mandatory parts must be submitted. The combined size of the stl files (before compression) must be below 160MB for ASCII stl, or below 40MB for binary stl.
2.1 An entry should be a single compressed archive file (ZIP etc) named using the format “<team>_<round>_<version>”. It must contain a directory structure “input_files/geometry/“ which contains:

A directory named “special_bc”:
(rule 7) One engine inlet surface, with a filename starting with “engineIn”
A directory named “monitoring_surfaces”:
(rule 6) Each heat exchanger monitoring surface as a separate stl-file (front face of heat exchanger translated rearward along its normal by 30mm)
A directory named “porous_media”:
(rule 6) Each (left and right hand sides) heat exchanger volume as a separate stl file
A directory named “high_res_surfaces” (rule 9.2).
Directories “frt_suspension” and “rr_suspension” (rule 14).
A directory named “vehicle_body”: All remaining bodywork.
2.4 A plain text file must be included in the archive to specify the offset for the following parts compared to their position as supplied in the parts file, even if they have not been moved, stating the following:

Vehicle rake in deg
Vehicle ride height adjustment in mm
I double checked everything and do not know what to change, which according to the rules will lead to a penalty, which will be pity, taking in to account all the effort I've put in to this competition.

May I get the exact reason for not meeting the 2.5 rule?

2. I noticed that the exhaust flow is missing or it is relatively low comparing it to the results I had back in 2020 (my first and only attempt in MVRC)

This is how it looks in paraview:

And the triangles of the "MAND_Exhaust_Outlet_Surface":

Most probably this is affecting all the participants.
