Bold of Ferrari to build a Monaco friendly car, and not worry about the other 23 races.

I have a feeling Red Bull's constant whining at the FIA and these Technical Directives did hurt Mclaren after all. They don't seem to be the fastest car anymore and I'm not sure what Red Bull is doing behind screens to gain so much time between sessions. Considering their past I'm suspicious. In any case Mclaren needs a huge upgrade to Spain and even though Phillip M was negative about upgrades they must bring them earlier.
What part of the TD have impacted the Mclaren?

 I know you are joking, but it's exactly the kind of thing that I would do if I was in charge of a back marker team. Go for the glory on one particular track.

Anyone think it's a boon for us to have 2 cars up front to split the strategy? Pit the second car on lap 1?
Then, when to likely red flag comes out, everyone changes tyres, and it doesn't work out.
Only if the flag comes out at the start, otherwise it can mix up the order a little if it happens during a pit window.
Um, how is a red flag going to mix up the order? The race is neutralized immediately

When some have pitted and others haven't?

Is Verschoor a McLaren junior as well?
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

I have a feeling the part of tyre temperature handling and wing flexing.

The FIA said no teams have made any change with respect to tire temperatures and the wing flexing TD hasn't even been enforced as of today.
Call a spade, a spade.

The wing flexing ban isn't enforced yet so I don't see that being an issue.

That the tyre temp handling was put on between races 1 week apart I doubt that has anything to do with it either its a very short time period to redesign and build new parts - I guess unless what ever it is McLaren are doing the element was very simple to remove. Look at front wing flex TD teams were given 6 months basically to redesign. The only way I see them giving a short turn around would be if it was a system that was a clearly outside the rules and there is zero evidence of that.

I see. Then how can we explain that loss of form in Imola and Monaco?

Qualifying starting. Hoping for 1-2 in Q3 just for once.

They stuck it on pole in Imola and came 2nd and 3rd.

Not sure you need the hyperbole

I don't know. I am not feeling so confident. Maybe they show something more but so far it wasn't that good of a performance. In FP3 Leclerc did a 1.10.9 and neither Mclaren was able to replicate it.

I think Stella explained it well enough different tracks play to different strengths. Cars are raised for Monaco that probably puts most car balances out (something I don't think Ferrari have really had to do as they already raised it after plank wear issues in China.

The ground effect cars have always been very finally balanced.

I understand. Q1 ended. Mclaren is missing half a second.

Bundle mentioned about the losing on the fast sector in sector 1 but the lap not being long enough to make up loads of time elsewhere.

Imola was also a short lap wasnt it?
