They are scheduled for Montreal as well, and Pirelli are thinking to bring them to Baku.
Iirc, Max's best time(1:11:2) was set on the medium tire, which is pretty much the better quali tire, once he swapped to the softs he couldnt improve on his time set on the mediums and started to complain about the car.i think charles takes pole
Just saw Vanja's analysis on Twitter. It seems that McLaren are favorite for pole as NOR is running a lower mode. VER could be dangerous in Q3. We'd need some VER magic to get pole as it stands. Close enough that he can hopefully make a dent.
was Norris on lower engine mode also in FP3 ? I noted one thing, he often did better S1 in the lap following his time laps, as he wanted to sandbag during the timed lap
I didn't follow FP3, so no idea. But here's Vanja's post.Sergej wrote: ↑24 May 2025, 14:29was Norris on lower engine mode also in FP3 ? I noted one thing, he often did better S1 in the lap following his time laps, as he wanted to sandbag during the timed lap
Yeah, missing a few tenths to the Ferrari's and McLaren's.
the rate at which Red Bull is using the tires up suggest that they are going to try the medium in Q3. Could also explain why they did qualy sim on medium in FP2. He’s on the third set of softs to start Q2. Will be on to the 4th set at end of Q2.
maybe one run with medium and another one with soft in Q3 ?
Max going back out on the 4th set of softs. So mediums in Q3 confirmed. Just don’t know which run (1st or 2nd)Sergej wrote: ↑24 May 2025, 16:35maybe one run with medium and another one with soft in Q3 ?
