Let’s not forget that Antonelli is only 18. 2025 is only his 4th full season racing cars, crazy as it seems. He was still racing karts in 2021. I think he’s the real deal, he just has a lot to learn.

He might be the real deal, I just find Hadjar more impressive especially with Antonelli getting to drive 9000km race distance before this season in private testing.
Hadjar was involved in several days of private pre season testing in 2023 cars, they all do it, 20 days is the limit now for more recent cars. Anything older you can drive as much as you want. Horner referenced how well Hadjar had performed with Tsunoda as a benchmark.f1isgood wrote: ↑25 May 2025, 10:16He might be the real deal, I just find Hadjar more impressive especially with Antonelli getting to drive 9000km race distance before this season in private testing.
His place in a top team wasn't merited. That's the saddest part. I would love to see someone like Ocon getting chance instead. Antonelli should've spent at least a season in F3 before F2. Hasn't done anything impressive in F2 and got in 2nd best car in F1 right away. Incredibly undeserved and frankly a waste of that seat so far.
I just only heard that Kimi has had 9000 kilometers worth testing from Toto. It would be great if you can share some info on Hadjar's test kilometers, as it'll help me calibrate my expectations for both better. You surely don't think that the Mercedes is slower than the Racing Bulls now, do you?Mogster wrote: ↑25 May 2025, 10:30Hadjar was involved in several days of private pre season testing in 2023 cars, they all do it, 20 days is the limit now for more recent cars. Surely if there’s an SC early on then it’s back to usual service.marcel171281 wrote: ↑25 May 2025, 12:27I don't get all the hype and talk about stategy. The 2 mandatory stops won't change a thing. The 1 mandatory stop hasn't been of any influence on the race for years. Now you get 2 stops in a race and people start thinking it does?
