Only dropping 3 points to PIA.

Why not pit one lap earlier and go for fastest lap
because it's not rewarded anymore

We are a race win away from PIA, and 23 away from NOR.

NOR is the more credible WDC threat. PIA hasn't impressed me the last two weekends, as expected though. He lacks a bit to NOR in the races.

If the TD goes our way and we can win in BAR, the WDC fight is back on. Otherwise, it's a McLaren whitewash.

will have to check the times, but I feel they blew the podium with the first stop, for a couple of laps Max had the pit window over Oscar

What a snoozefest, here I was getting excited yesterday that the mandatory 2 stops would make the race a bit exciting

P4 was as good as this car could get around Monaco tbh, HAM and RUS could possibly have pipped us in ideal circumstances in qualifying.

On to Barcelona we go, for what will hopefully be an exciting race esp. with TD influenced updates everyone is going to bring.

Yeah, it was right around 19,5s. On the edge, but you take that chance IMO. Waiting for something better to materialize was just fool's hope.

Anyways, losing 3 pts to the leader isn't bad.

They tried to gamble with the red flag. A podium was worth only 3 extra points and it would have been dependent on a perfect pitstop. A red flag would have given Max a net +20 points on his rival, so the 3 points gambled away are nothing in comparison.

They did the right thing. A red flag in Monaco is not out of the ordinary.

Biggest gap was 19.8 seconds after both of PIA's stops. I think the pitstop delta is 19.5 seconds on a good stop. It would have been close. I think they were still trying to gamble on getting the lead under SC or red flag.

Thank god this race is over, it was always going to be a damage limitation in Monaco. We are within 20-25 points of the Mclaren drivers. Its okey. That was all Verstappen could do in the first 8 races with this car. And we have 16 races remaining, at least 400 points. Now comes the most crucial weekend of the year, famous Barcelona with the new TD. If we are at least equal to Mclaren then the fight for the WDC for Max is just getting started. If the TD doesnt slow Mclaren down it will be very hard to close the gap. Also hoping some new updates again work, as it did in Imola. The season start for me again in 7 days. Hoping Red Bull can strike back. We got a new hope in Imola, now we need to confirm it....

now regarding the Spain TD

Sky Italy commentator said they spoke with Andrea Stella who told them off records "I'm looking forward to Barcelona to show we will demolish them" they are confident it won't change a thing

I think there's more hope coming from the work Red Bull is doing around the rear corner, rather than this TD

Yeah, hopes and fears. Bit like today, wait for it and hope. Ps. Alonso was again unlucky.
