Max took a decision to move away from this team today. He doesnt need these points anymore, quite the opposite.
Yep that is clear to me as well. Verstappen exit, zero doubt.

they did absolutely wrong asking Max to let George
Yeah, that was very poor from Red bull, no way was Max in the wrong there. Blew Max's fuse in the process too
+ Leclerc, unintentionally, drove into him as well.

I’m one of the first to call Max a twat.

But I feel for him on this and can see how it came about.

Hard tyres created a big problem, then saying let George though was utterly idiotic of the team.

The incident with LEC was less clear, they both had overlapping trajectory, don't think LEC drove into him.

I wonder if he suddenly realised he should wait with letting Russel by until the end of the lap after which he could DRS himself back in front.

Too bad it all went downhill. Red Bull had delivered a great strategy and Verstappen had executed it to perfection.

10 seconds was definitely lenient. Stewards should throw the book at Verstappen for intentionally crashing into George.

P.s. If you don't believe that was intentional then I'm not sure what to say

I mean, it probably looked like that from Verstappen POV.

Leclerc moved to the left to get slipstream before clearing a car fully. Exactly the same kind of incident as Sainz-Perez in Baku and Leclerc-Vettel in Brazil.

Max needs to stop taking the baits so easily, but i don't believe that'll happen. Also the restart was much below his usual perfection which caused all this drama.
there is reason why literally no other car ran hard today. there was no grip.
far better decision would be to stay on those soft tires at the lead, who get far better chance to keep the podium imo and be safe at the restart.

You're right, staying out might have been the best move, Leclerc did not have any pace at all, would have been P3 at worst.

a real brain fart for Red Bull in the finale, from not staying out with soft to that idiotic call to let George through, really nonsense

honestly I could not believe what I saw when I saw him on hard because based on Pirelli info on tire allocation before the race Max had three used softs, not just two. Where has that 3rd set gone I wonder? Who did get it wrong - Pirelli or the team?

Season over lads, we had a run in the last 4 seasons. After now we can say thats it, F1 will see a new champion. I undestand Max and his anger, he knows its over, penalty was very fair. Mclaren had race easily in the bag with amazing tyre deg and pace. Well lets move on, it is what it is. I am out for some weeks now, will just relax until the end of the season. No luck next year we try again, its life. Nothing lasts forever. You cant overdrive the car from race to race, the pressure is just to much.

Cheers.

This was the catalyst actually. I don't know why they told him to let George past. Max already furious because in his view Leclerc crashed into him. The incident with George wasn't very clear at all, I don't even think Max would have gotten a penalty with that one. He left the space, George hit him so he took to the escape road.

That's the bit I am most surprised with. Why the hell did they tell Max to let him through.

As for the last pit, I think Max had already killed his softs pushing to get that P2 from Lando. It would have been really difficult to hold on either way. In hindsight, Leclerc had no pace, so maybe P3 would have been secured. But I don't think RedBull were expecting Leclerc to be that slow at the end there. He would have been at risk of getting overtaken by everyone.
