Poor first stint for Lewis. The medium stint was managed well, he was closing on Charles.
But Charles is just squeezing every drop out of the car. This year for Lewis is really just to acclimatize. No way he is going to be firing harder than Charles at any Grand Prix with the current car. I only see him improving once the rear ens gets upgraded.

I dont think he should have jumped out of the way for Charles so early in the race.
It would not have resulted in any. Progress.
All it did was protect from George. At no point would it have brung Charles into any contention for a podium against Max or a McLaren.

The drivers should just be allowed to race in such an early stage.

Charles was fast enough to overtake on merrit.

Well this podium was a lucky one. But it bagged a lot of points for the team.
Weakest race of the season for Lewis. I guess the car just was giving him any confidence.
He's probably counting down for that suspension upgrade each night.

Mercedes suprisingly have poor reliability and that's helping a lot. Red Bull's second car is no where, and their first car had Red Mist. Ferrari have scored well in this tripple header.

I think Lewis should have gone onto the hard tyre.
Max lost positions, but he did race strongly aftrr that.
He made an error by losing control. Had he launched off perfectly, the hard was not s bsd choice.
Whatever tyre Lewis got was pretty much dead.

As I wrote yesterday, aside from MCL everyone else looked pretty close in race pace, only way for Max to attempt to win there was with 3 stops.

Ferrari anticipated the 2nd LEC pit stop a bit too much, his pace was fine and didn't need to do 25 laps on the last set, but overall they ran a flawless set of pits again.
HAM clearly having trouble he has to sort out.
3 laps to let LEC through at the start (same as the inverse in Miami), LEC opened a 3s gap in the space of a handful of laps, it didn't change anything at all in the race, including if there wasn't any SC, but this is how the team should approach this, I'm not against taking 3 laps for this stuff.

To all the doomers that Ferrari would have finished behind the sauber I suppose that's true for HAM, but let's not quote Rosberg's opinion in this forum ever again please.

At the end of the day it's true Ferrari benefited from the reduce flex on the wing, if they can fix the car height and gain 0.2-0.3s per lap on the car they can get back to MCL, too bad again the season was side tracked by a design error... Everything else in the car is well done though.

The pace in low fuel was absolutely awful.
Not so bad at the start of the race though.

If Ferrari dropped the 3rd engine in 3 races... I cannot think about this at all...

I mean they still going to keep posting stuff like fire Fred and what not, not just here but also on social media which is way worse. but yea this sport is weird. maybe all are? idk i don't follow football do they scream Fire this and that after bad results or unexpected results?? then why bother supporting a team anyway right? if all you do is speak negative.

Lewis 2nd stint was good. 3rd stint was good too but bad stop didnt help. I dont like team orders in the beginning of thw race either. They are not racing for championshop, too much team orders for 3rd 4th position

The Ferrari Instagram page has turned into a Hamilton fan page. The things you can read there in the comments is just unbelievable and makes you really wonder about the global mental state.

That is probably due to the fact that Leclerc pushed much more earlier in the stint.

Damage must have been gearbox issue from qualy. I did not see him contact anyone.

As for the team. The fans are generally toxic. That's my observation over the decades.
The team can do no good unless they create a dominant car.
Saying it's all Lewis fans is not true. Those same fans were always Tifosi.
Charles still gets the most likes on the Ferrari page. I do not think the bulk of the Hamilton fans transitioned to Ferrari. They probably just exist in whatever fan club he has for them somwhere. They aren't all hardcore F1 fans.
I think mostly older female Tifosi fans who like that Lewis has joined are making the kneejerk comments on social media. Charles has the younger girls as fans. His fans are also doom and gloom.

That is probably due to the fact that Leclerc pushed much more earlier in the stint.

Yes it was just two different ways to use the tyre. But Charles maybe got a net 4 seconds out of his fresher tyres if that stint were to be completed.
I like that the car has an issue but can still run against a Mercedes that is clearly quicker on Saturday. Would like to see how much better the car runs with the upgrades, if it can challenge McLaren.
