yes, I'm aware, Max at that time wasn't.
I think Max was very aware.
Indeed, what absurd things you can read from biased commentators who consider themselves experts. The strategy of three pit stops allowed Verstappen not to save his tires, while Oscar and Lando had to watch them, this explains the difference in pace.AR3-GP wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 06:01It doesn't seem like the battle between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri is materializing on the track this year. We are 9 rounds wiser, and nothing.
I thought it was funny that Verstappen had managed to put more pressure on Oscar Piastri during the first 3 laps of the Spanish GP in a vastly inferior car, than Lando Norris managed in the entire Spanish GP weekend. After jumping Lando Norris at the start, Verstappen managed to stay within DRS range of Oscar Piastri for 2 laps and have a look into T1 on lap 3, in a car that was at least 3 tenths per lap slower that day.

Now let's talk about Lando Norris and the exciting Norris-Piastri battle that was promised. After doing nothing all race to challenge Piastri, Lando Norris was gifted a golden opportunity to attack and steal the spoils of PIA's hard day of work. The restart comes and goes. Lando Norris made no impressions. Piastri didn't even have to look in his mirror down into T1. Lando Norris in equal cars fell outside of the DRS range of PIA after only 5 turns. Is this not absolutely pathetic? Before the race, some guy on here said PIA vs NOR was Hamilton vs Alonso. The absolutely absurd things you read on f1technical in 2025...![]()

Oscar Piastri drove 7 tenths faster than Lando Norris on the 2nd lap and 9 tenths faster than Lando Norris on the 3rd lap. He was the fastest man on the circuit by lap time. Who was saving tires then?_cerber1 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 06:51Indeed, what absurd things you can read from biased commentators who consider themselves experts. All this can be easily explained by the influence of clean and dirty air. On tracks with a high level of downforce, this is important. McLaren is the most sensitive car in this parameter, both drivers talked about this and how important it is to be in front.AR3-GP wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 07:01Oscar Piastri drove 7 tenths faster than Lando Norris on the 2nd lap and 9 tenths faster than Lando Norris on the 3rd lap. And of the restart? Lando Norris for some reason still needed to save his 3 lap old soft tires with only 6 laps remaining? To drop 1 second in 5 turns? Was that also because of strategy?
Did Piastri turn the dirty air cannon off at the start of the race for Max? Why were drivers further down the order able to keep gaps below 1 second after the restart for more than 5 turns, and not Lando Norris?_cerber1 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 07:10All this can be easily explained by the influence of clean and dirty air. I answered this question in my posts above. If you can't add 2+2, then I can't help you. It's very naive to believe that a person who set an absolute track record in Monaco a week ago suddenly forgot how to drive.

Clear violation in my opinion. Not that complaining, just showing that it was ‘missed’ and is a rule breach
That’s because that rule didn’t exist in the RD’s instructions in 2023.F1NAC wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 07:51I don't remember stewards penalising thischrisc90 wrote: ↑02 Jun 2025, 21:53Charles front wing as alongside the back wheel of Max’s.

Max’s overtake was in 2022 the FIA doc is from 2022 the rules were changed somewhere along the way the line I think pretty much because of Max but off hand not sure specifically whenF1NAC wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 08:38First google searchchrisc90 wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 08:19That’s because that rule didn’t exist in the RD’s instructions in 2023.F1NAC wrote: ↑03 Jun 2025, 07:51
