Looking at the forecast this morning, it looks like the chance of rain is dropping but the temperature is also looking to be even cooler.

Fri - 25 and sunny on Friday still.
Sat - 19 and cloudy with a good chance of rain.
Sun - 20C and cloudy with some sunshine. Also looking like it's going to be somewhat windy in the afternoon with gusts up to 43kph.

If your car likes cooler temps, you're looking better this weekend at least.

i think some do it by probability of rain, and some do it by percentage of a certain area that will get wet.
