After watching both F3 and F2 races, i can pretty much say that the track stays damp for quite a while, though the F3 and F2 races both had changeable conditions so its hard to say that for F1 as downforce levels are very high and helps dry the track fast. Many who switched to dry sets in F2 race suffered as they dont have inters so the only choice was wets or drys. In F1 teams need to stick to inters for longer hence save their tyres initially and attack when it gets drier later in the stint. Those who have lower downforce might suffer in general especially on paper, but i believe Max;s skill might come in play a bit and might still end up in podium or might even win if it dries up halfway through the race, Mclarens and Mercedes/Ferrari will be quick today.

Accuweather has rain ending in 10 minutes in Silverstone , that's not circuit specific though, looks like their may be a shower again in 30 or so minutes who knows if it hits the track

The sun coming out at the worst possible moment! It will dry out by the end of the formation lap…

Come on, it's interesting race adn good spectacle for now. It's clearly you're just disappointed about your favorite driver/team.
