Adami tell Ham to lico hard, damn, problem still here, sad.
Apparently its for fuel. Probably they expected more rain running and took some fuel out.
How it can be for fuel? Cars use less fuel in wet that dry, no?
We didnt have any wet race did we, thanks to race directors. The race should have started like 10 mins earlier

McLaren were untouchable today but good work to the drivers, great haul of points and another podium.

I wish it was a win but I think they did everything they could today so I can't complain about their performance.

Leclerc's defending was excellent. I was hoping Hamilton could pass a few more cars in the second half but still, very good recovery drive.

They nailed the crossover strategy too, shows that they did take some learnings from Silverstone.
With that much lico till the end, it wasnt possible for lewis to do any more overtaking

McLaren in the lead are impossible to catch but possible to keep behind only if you have a straight line advantage… Track position vs any car within a decent pace range, is impossible to pass unless they make a mistake.

Last 11 races could be difficult viewing.

Oscar is ice cold…but that’s for another topic

It’s a shame it wasn’t wet for longer. Lewis was flying in the wet and overtaking easily. As soon as it dried it became impossible to overtake.

I'm very impressed with how Leclerc was able to keep Verstappen behind in the mixed conditions today considering Verstappen had more downforce and Leclerc struggled in Silverstone.

Looking forward to hearing the driver's post race comments about the balance and state of the car. Is the next race in a few days?

Yes it wasn't Hamilton's fault, he drove very well.

At least Hamilton capitalized from the wet configuration, see others who switched together with him on the pit lane start. Nicely executed from the team and not to forget Leclerc.

Good race for both drivers. Leclerc probably vanquishes the demons from Silverstone and puts to bed some wagging tongues.

Keeping Max behind for an entire race, especially in the wets when your car probably has less downforce is impressive.

Great work by the team on the suspension upgrade. It has worked clearly. Hopefully they'll maximise it for the rest of the season.

Pity Hamilton has to LiCo. Would've caught Russell otherwise.

Good race by the whole team in the end. Given the starting almost maximized the points (just one more from HAM would have been perfect, but he drove a great race).

LEC said the update worked as expected and they need to learn it more, the car in race pace was 2nd best and in the dry very close to MCL in pace.
HAM drove great, easy DotD.

Good stuff all around.

Well managed. Thankfully they switched quickly to dry tires as the performance with intermediates was not great.

Nice to see Charles get p3, did well holding off max. Good race from Ham, shame the director decided to do so many laps under the SC as he gambled on a wet race and also couldnt push for most of the race despite wanting to because he had to lift and coast

Awesome job by Leclerc today. Schooled Verstappen all race. The accuracy and commitment needed to nail all the exits onto the straights was superb with a lower downforce set up but he was able to keep Max behind who had higher downforce set up
Just a fan's point of view

LEC did extremely well in the wet to keep VER behind. That was the whole race for him.

Awesome drive by HAM in the wet! Hungary should be a much better result for him

His low downforce setup worked in his favour. Even if he was overtaken in the wet part, he could have taken back his spot back pretty easily later. Also maybe due to his lower downforce setup he stopped lico like 10-15 laps before the end

Wishful thinking, it wasn't that close.

I think it's been obvious for a while now that he might be the only one who can handle VER without much drama, being attack or defense, IF he has a car that can match whatever VER is driving which has been a rare occurrence.
