This thread slowly from cheerful goes even to conspiracy level. Funny how that works when you’re dominant team. For today Norris failed with his mistakes, pitstop is separate story.
Thread and forum.
Found out today that it’s acceptable to call Lando a homosexual with zero evidence of him being so.

But yea, Lando said previously that the WDC will be won by who ever makes the least mistakes and it was him who made the most today.

Another 1-2 for the team, great job this weekend.... Great race by PIA, took the opportunity to overtake NOR and never looked back, NOR on the other hand was pushing the hard tires, which in this dump conditions I think did not worked super well, but without those mistakes, I think we would have seen battle for the P1 in the last 5-6 laps.

P.S this was Mclaren's 199th win as a team in F1, we are getting close to club 200 where Ferrari leads with 248 wins.

Fingers crossed that we can do this as soon as next weekend.

As a Norris fan even I can see that the pitstop was also Norris fault. He missed his marks meaning the front left tyre man had to struggle to get the tyre on as the car wasn’t in the spot it was supposed to stop. Yet another mistake he made this race
Thanks, didn’t notice that.

crazy how Mclaren bend over backwards to be fair to both drivers, but the Australian contingent is still determined to find fault and how everything is stacked against the plucky Aussie. Flipping ridiculous

I think you're being a bit too harsh on Lando. He was (initially) the only driver in the entire field on tyres that were two steps harder, in cold conditions (calling it the preferred strategy is laughable). The mistakes on the hard tyres were indeed very costly, but understandable given the circumstances.
The big mistake, I think, was on the restart — that's where he lost the race. Well done to Oscar; that overtake was impressive.
Interesting that Zak mentioned both cars had battery problems on lap 1.
Other than that super boring race, but great to see another 1-2 nonetheless.

Call me crazy for pointing out the difference in the team (mainly Zac) when Piastri wins. Say it’s rubbish “blah blah blah”.

But actually it’s not just me seeing this. Go look on Reddit and other forums, there are literally images of Zac comparing the two reactions. 100s of people commenting on the exact same observation.

Just because other people are idiots trying to find ways to be disgusted doesnt mean they are correct.

Werent you also seeing how Ricciardo was misstreated, and now you see Oscar is (even though he is winning and leading in the standings)?

And even IF, and that is the big IF the pitwall is supposed to be more energetic about Lando, it is MAYBE, just MAYBE because he is there for years now, getting along with the team and being brought up right from the start of his carreer, even though Oscar is also one cool and great guy it takes time to make deep conections with people. If Oscar continues to be as loyal and great as he is, he will become a status symbol in the team as well, if he aint allready.

Not to mention Mclaren never screwed over Daniel and even gifted him a win at Monza and gave him an emotional goodbye, although one season sooner than what was signed.

Was Sainz treated poorly? Not in a million miles.

Good drive Piastri. Norris, I don’t know what to say. Norris lost his own race by just going too early on the race start. All he had to do was wait till the last corner then push from there. Then his battery wouldn’t have been as dead for the straight.

What’s really bizarre are these weren’t mistakes he was making before last year. I really do have to wonder if the pressure of the championship battle is getting to him.
I think the winning move was to launch the moment Piastri goes swerving to heat his tires. But instead Lando decided to launch in middle of a straight while Piastri was super close trailing him. How will you surprise anyone by doing that?

Lando used to have issues restarting when Verstappen was behind. This is nothing new. Something he should work on.

Super happy for another 1-2. Oscar deserved it with his faultless race. Super funny how we are debating fights between them instead of realizing that McLaren is having a historically dominant season. Let's enjoy it.

Imagine using Reddit as a reference to make a point.
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

Another flawless execution. Great car design, two great drivers, good strategy. Unstoppable combo. Surely they are headed for the record for most WCC points in a season. How often do you get not one but two A-drivers and the cleverest car at the same time? Crosses my mind sometimes, if Piastri had ended up at Alpine... Dodged a bullet there.
