yes, that's why I referred to setup choice difference (DF, stiffness, etc) - the RB20 was much faster in S1 and S3 (whilst sacrificing S2) as another/additional reason, apart from generic improved performance. Both were dry Qs, but not sure about things like temp and wind.PlatinumZealot wrote: β29 Aug 2025, 02:10By your numbers the RB19 is faster than the RB20 in sector 2.

I can't see how. But Marko said it'll be a one-stopper for everyone. It's impossible to pass, even when one second faster, and M-H will do without a problem.atanatizante wrote: β29 Aug 2025, 17:15Based on the tyre usage in FP2 in the picture below and a dry race on Sunday, can we figure out which teams/drivers are opting for a one and which for a 2-stop race?
This presumption doesn't fully explain why some teams saved the H tyres and others the M ones for this session, bearing in mind that tomorrow it`ll be a higher chance of a wet track ...search wrote: β29 Aug 2025, 17:22I can't see how. that's what the always do, don't they? Some prefer a hard, some a medium as their "just in case" tire for the race. Others may return it after FP3 anyway.atanatizante wrote: β29 Aug 2025, 17:32This presumption doesn't fully explain why some teams saved the H tyres and others the M ones for this session
