how did Albon move up to 10th already? Need to check the replay...

edit: passed two cars on the outside of turn 1 and then another two when Alonso forced Antonelli wide. Great start!

Thats as close to Maxketting someone by that you'll see. He's not in the race with Lando and he has tyres to protect.

Lawson and Sainz are both basically out of tires now. Only used softs left for the remaining 40+ laps

It's the stupid rule of being ahead at the apex. The car defending (if ahead at apex) can push the other car wide, if the other car does not yield the crash is on them.

This is why Max was/is super hard to overtake when he is ahead. He knows these things and uses them to the maximum. This is also why everyone wants to protect the inside.

how is this Verstappen strategy supposed to work, by the way? No one else from the top 8 will pit again.

I think they are just trying Hail Mary strategies because they are not happy with just finishing in P3.

Lousy decision there by stewards on Leclerc. Slam dunk penalty is being pushed to after the race discussion.
